For eksempel: diabetes[tiab] AND pubstatusaheadofprint

Status Tag
How to Search
Citation Status
PubMed - as supplied by publisher
publisher[sb] NOT pubstatusnihms NOT pubstatuspmcsd NOT pmcbook
Citations recently added to PubMed via electronic submission from a publisher, and are soon to proceed to the next stage, PubMed - in process (see below). This tag is also on citations received before late 2003 if they are from journals not indexed for MEDLINE, or from a journal that was accepted for MEDLINE after the citations' publication date. These citations bibliographic data have not been reviewed.
PubMed - in process
in process[sb]
Citations bibliographic data will be reviewed and indexed, i.e., MeSH terms will be assigned (if the subject of the article is within the scope of MEDLINE).
PubMed - indexed for MEDLINE
medline[sb]
Citations that have been indexed with MeSH terms, Publication Types, Substance Names, etc., and bibliographic data have been reviewed.
PubMed
pubstatusnihms AND publisher[sb]
Author manuscripts submitted to PMC that fall under the NIH Public Access Policy.
PubMed
pubstatuspmcsd AND publisher[sb]
Records for selective deposit articles in PMC. These are articles published in non-MEDLINE journals where the publisher has chosen to deposit in PMC only those articles that fall under the NIH Public Access Policy..
PubMed
pmcbook
Book and book chapter citations available on the NCBI Bookshelf.
PubMed
pubmednotmedline[sb]
Citations that have been reviewed for accurate bibliographic data but will not receive MEDLINE indexing, because they are for articles in non-MEDLINE journals, or they are for articles in MEDLINE journals but the articles are out of scope or they are from issues published prior to the date the journal was selected for indexing, or citations to articles from journals that deposit their full text articles in PMC but have not yet been recommended for indexing in MEDLINE.
PubMed - OLDMEDLINE
oldmedline[sb]
This tag identifies citations in the OLDMEDLINE subset.

Kodeoversikt finner du her: http://www.thecochranelibrary.com/view/0/CENTRALHelp.html.

Vakkert!

You can limit a single search line within a search to a specific database or databases by using the Ovid field codes assigned to each database. Ovid database codes can be difficult to find so I have listed the codes for all databases that CADTH subscribes to (see end of this message). For other database, you may need to contact Ovid for the field code.

Removing duplicates:

First, prepare and save your individual database searches separately. Then open all the databases you have searched. This is what Ovid calls a multifile search. Run one of the searches, EMBASE 1980-present, for example.

EMBASE search
Line 1. dogs.ti
Line 2 cats.ti
Line 3. pigs.ti
Line 4. rabbits.ab
Line 5. or/1-4

Line 6. 5 use emez

Line 6 will limit the results of this part of the search to the Embase database only [emez is the 1980-present Embase field code]

Then run another of your individual database searches (Medline 1950-present, for example) with all databases still open.

MEDLINE search
Line 7. dogs.ti,ab
Line 8. cats.hw
Line 9. pigs.mp
Line 10. rabbits.ti,ab,hw
Line 11. or/7-10

Line 12. 11 use mesz

Line 12 will limit the results of this part of the search to the Medline 1950-present database.

Then run any other searches from other databases.

Then OR your results together (Line 6 or Line 12 or …)

Then remove duplicates.

You can also use this feature in other ways. See the example below for limiting specific lines within a multifile search to a specific database by using Ovid database codes.

exp tramadol/ [retrieves items from all databases open]
exp *tramadol/ use emef [retrieves items only from EMBASE]
tramadol.ti,ab,hw use prem,mesz,b10o89 [retrieves items from PreMedline, Medline, Biosis]
